OverviewCreative Introspection is a packaging design and research study about the self-doubts we face as creatives. I designed this game to helps us overcome our loneliness. Cards that offer statements that help us identify our insecurities can be hard to pin down and explain. This game includes 12 cards, each with a prompt that focuses on a specific insecurity an artist may have. Played by 2 or more people, with each player picking a card and discussing how much it relates to their insecurities and fears. By sharing our self-doubts, we realize that these emotions aren’t exclusive to us, they exist within everyone. The packaging design features a luxurious design, creating a sense of seriousness and intimacy for the players.

My ethos for design stems from an urge to encourage connections between people. The purpose of this project is to acknowledge the common challenges faced by creatives and turn them into a publicly accessible game. During the design process, I used a style that combines the luxurious and mythical aesthetic of serif styles with the simple and casual style of pencil doodles. The goal was to balance the serious and introspective tone of the game with a non-intimidating art style. On the right, I included an infographic that displayed the data gathered from 3 players after playing the game together.
